Many times, when we go shopping for clothes, we see a garment on the hanger but when we put it on it doesn't fit us as well as we imagined in our head. And sometimes it's not because of the pattern or the cut, but because of the colour of the garment.
The same thing happens when we go shopping for fabrics. We must know how to choose the tones that best suit us. Therefore, today we want to give you the following tips, always looking at the garments that are close to the face and that will give us that luminosity from the chest up:
What colour suits me best?
The first thing to do is to find out if we are warm people or cold people. And that will not depend on our character, but on the colour of our skin, eyes and hair.
Warm person
A warm person is one who, when exposed to the sun, tends to turn tan as a first reaction. As for their hair , their tone is light: blond, brown, brown... And finally, a warm person will have green, honey or brown eyes.
Cold person
A warm person is one who, when exposed to the sun, tends to turn red as a first reaction. As for their hair hair, their tone is very dark: black, dark brown (or white!). And finally, a cold person will have dark or blue eyes.
We may not meet all 3 requirements, but we will keep the predominant ones. In other words: if I have dark skin and dark - almost black - hair and eyes, I am a cold person.
And as colour therapy says, cold people will stay with cold tones and warm people with warm tones:
And what do we do with the extreme shades? In other words, can't cold people wear red, for example? No. Cool people can wear red tones, but we should always look at the red base . Continuing with the example: if it is an orange-based red, it will be ideal for warm people. If it is a fuchsia/purple based red, it will be ideal for cold people.
We leave you some samples of the same fabric so that you can evaluate it yourself:
