Fabrics for artistic disciplines

Apart from flamenco dance, at Flamentex we also have fabrics for other artistic disciplines such as ballet or rhythmic gymnastics. Disciplines that require fabrics rich in elasticity, but which are able to return to their place.

To provide a solution to these disciplines, we have 3 basic fabrics: the MESHDANCE, LICRA and MATDULL.

When it comes to making clothes for rhythmic gymnastics, figure skating or ballet, the choice of fabric is crucial.

These garments must be flexible, durable and allow freedom of movement. Therefore, spandex fabrics are the most recommended, as they are elastic and fit perfectly to the body.

Likewise, these materials must be breathable to maintain comfort during practice.

In addition, it is important to use fabrics that are resistant to rubbing and abrasion as the garment will be exposed to vigorous and repetitive movements.

Coordinated colours

In addition to responding to these needs, at Flamentex we take care to ensure that the colours of the fabrics coordinate with each other. Therefore, we work to coordinate the dyes and achieve a homogeneous effect, allowing them to harmonise with each other.

Throughout this post we have mentioned 3 basic models, which can be combined with each other: MESHDANCE, LICRA and MATDULL. But...

What is the difference between them?

On the one hand, we differentiate between the LICRA and MATDULL models. They are two elastic fabrics, with the difference that the MATDULL is matt and the LICRA is shiny.

On the other hand, the MESHDANCE model is an elastic tulle ideal for this type of discipline, capable of maintaining the firmness of the fabric in every movement.
